About The Position
The Kids Dentist is looking for a Dental Assistant in Mequon, WI to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Support our mission to providing excellent dental care in the community and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences. Requirements
- Prior dental assisting experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
- Reliable and detail-oriented with a professional demeanor
- CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
