About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for originating or monitoring a commercial loan portfolio of borrowers in healthcare-related industries, including financial analysis. This role involves approving or recommending credit extensions for new, renewal, and extension loans. The Credit Analyst will conduct thorough credit analyses, gathering and interpreting financial information on existing and prospective customers. They will also review customer accounts and portfolios to identify and address potential credit quality issues, aiming to minimize risk and potential loss. Technological tools, including computer software, may be used to assist in credit evaluation and decision-making. This posting is for multiple levels: Healthcare Credit Analyst 4, 5, and 6, with experience determining the specific job level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent underwriting experience
  • Typically one or more years of underwriting experience (for Analyst 4)
  • Typically three or more years of underwriting experience (for Analyst 5)
  • Typically five or more years of underwriting experience (for Analyst 6)
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including EXCEL and nCino (for Analyst 4)
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages – including nCino (for Analyst 5)
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages – including nCino and Credit Lens (for Analyst 6)
  • Advanced background in MS Office suite of products and skillset with MS Excel (for Analyst 5 & 6)

  • Underwriting experience focused on credit analysis and analytical skills working with complex healthcare credits

Responsibilities

  • Approve the extension of credit and/or make recommendations to the person(s) making the final lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans.
  • Conduct a complete credit analysis including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers.
  • Review customer accounts and portfolios to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company.
  • Use technological tools, including computer software, to assist in the credit analysis process by helping evaluate a particular credit or a portfolio.
  • Compare and evaluate possible courses of action and make recommendations and/or decisions after various possibilities are considered.
