About The Position

Requirements

• Basic understanding of facility safety and environmental regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good physical stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of production floors, work areas, restrooms, and common spaces, including mopping and dusting.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces, equipment, and storage areas to meet health and safety requirements.
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling in compliance with facility waste management policies.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility for cleanliness, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and basic plumbing fixes.
• Maintain and operate janitorial equipment (e.g., floor buffers, mops) in good working order.
• Keep outdoor areas (e.g., loading docks, walkways) clear of debris and snow if applicable.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory records.
• Follow all safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Report major maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
