About The Position

STRS The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst, Student to join the Information Technology Services/Data and Digital Services team. General Summary: Under the direction of the manager, Business Intelligence, develop and provide support for current investment data warehouse-based systems and software.

Requirements

  • College students contemplating a career in math, computer science or business required.
  • Successful completion of at least one programming course required.
  • Relational database experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information required.
  • Above-average oral and written communication skills required.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required.
  • Above-average organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Proven ability to operate Microsoft Office programs and standard office equipment required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.
  • Excellent work record of attendance, punctuality and the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • R, Python or Matlab preferred.
  • Experience with one or more of the following preferred: enterprise BI platforms; low-code/no-code platforms; data visualization tools; basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Support development phase of the application development life cycle for enterprise data warehouse applications and business intelligence solutions in accordance with defined standards.
  • Code, test and implement data processing pipelines, Business Intelligence (BI) reports and low-code platform solutions.
  • Provide BI application support to users across multiple business departments.
  • Assist in exploring and implementing emerging technologies including AI and machine learning capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation in accordance with defined standards.
  • Provide status reports in accordance with defined standards.
  • Resolve data processing and BI application production problems as necessary.
  • Assist in other projects as assigned.
