The Department of Economics, Accounting and Business at Converse University is seeking adjunct instructors for Fall 2026 to teach two specific accounting courses. The fall semester runs from August 12th to December 4th, including final exams. The use of Excel in teaching is highly valued. Instructors are expected to deliver in-person instruction, but candidates interested in online and/or asynchronous teaching formats will also be considered. ACC 211 Accounting Principles I is a 3-credit course covering basic financial accounting techniques, emphasizing recording, classifying, summarizing, and interpreting business transactions, with a focus on the asset side of the balance sheet and related income statement accounts. ACC 380 Accounting Information Systems is a 4-credit course designed for future business professionals, focusing on business information systems, accounting user support, information technology, and problem-solving. It exposes students to various information technologies and methods for analyzing business processes, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of different technologies. A prerequisite for ACC 380 is ACC 211.
