About The Position

Ensure all repaired and manufactured components meet customer specifications, quality standards, and applicable procedures through setup, in-process, and final inspections. Maintain compliance with NOV policies, HSE requirements, and the Tuboscope Threading Quality Manual. Verify product quality by inspecting parts, auditing operator inspections, and confirming adherence to quality system, licensing agency, and customer requirements. Support the Quality Management System by completing inspection reports, documenting non-conformances, and communicating quality issues to management. Ensure production documentation is accurate and complete by auditing facility paperwork and supporting quality documentation requirements. Perform acceptance inspections of purchased materials and manage customer authorizations for proprietary items to ensure only conforming materials enter production.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to use or learn precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales).
  • Ability to maintain required certifications and perform material acceptance inspections while supporting quality and customer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Mechanical inspection experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, in-process, and final inspections of repaired and manufactured components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with NOV policies, HSE requirements, and the Tuboscope Threading Quality Manual.
  • Inspect parts and audit operator inspections in accordance with applicable quality systems, licensing agency requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Audit first article inspections and operator inspection reports to verify process compliance.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of inspection programs and quality procedures.
  • Document non-conformances and communicate quality issues to management for corrective action.
  • Review and audit production paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform acceptance inspections of incoming materials to verify conformance before use in production.
  • Manage customer authorizations for proprietary items and maintain required certifications, including Code 70 certification.
