About The Position

The candidate we seek is a meticulous and detail-oriented Rooms Inspector who is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms meet the AAA Four Diamond highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence and providing an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in housekeeping or a similar role, with a strong background in quality control.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, including job coaching.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
  • Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
  • The pre-employment process also requires the ability to pass a criminal background investigation, and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, ensuring they meet the AAA Four Diamond standards for cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance.
  • Check for proper arrangement and condition of furnishings, amenities, and decor.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping tasks, such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming, are completed to the highest standards.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed in guest rooms.
  • Monitor the performance of housekeeping staff and provide feedback to ensure consistent quality.
  • Ensure that all rooms are properly stocked with supplies and amenities.
  • Assist in training housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and refresher training sessions to maintain high standards.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns regarding room conditions and housekeeping services.
  • Ensure that guest requests and preferences are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Strive to exceed guest expectations by ensuring a comfortable and clean environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of room inspections, including any issues identified and actions taken.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping performance and room conditions for the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Use inspection checklists and other tools to ensure thorough and consistent inspections.
  • Work closely with the housekeeping team to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to address guest needs and operational issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.
