About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of a diploma, associate, or bachelor's degree nursing program.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first week of orientation; certification must be maintained.
• Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills compliant with Georgia nursing practice laws.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and elderly populations.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of oncology and/or IV therapy experience preferred.
• At least one year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• Physician practice experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of assigned patients using appropriate knowledge, skills, judgment, and decision-making for the specific area.
• Carry out the charge nurse role when assigned.
• Deliver patient care according to care guidelines and use personnel, services, supplies, and equipment in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Review and evaluate diagnostic test results and take appropriate action.
• Administer medications and chemotherapeutic drugs according to Health System policy.
• Perform and document nursing assessments to identify and prioritize physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, and develop plans of care.
• Evaluate and reassess nursing interventions based on the interdisciplinary plan of care, revising interventions as appropriate.
• Develop and implement an education plan in collaboration with patients and families.
• Ensure documentation complies with regulatory standards.
