About The Position

Requirements

• Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design or Radio/Television/Film)
• Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as well as content creation (photography, videography, captioning)
• Understanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketing
• Must have working knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office Suite (Words, PowerPoint, Excel). Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, good time management, creative, with ability to communicate in a professional manner
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Commitment to the organization’s mission

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external communication efforts to build relationships with stakeholders
• Help with the creation and implementation of social media content and story coverage
• Support social media analytics tracking
• Assist with preparation for speaking engagements, tracking and follow up
• Prepare marketing materials
• Organize photo/video galleries and communications documents on intranet
• Attend communications team meetings and work closely with the team to support communication functions and activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
