About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a histology laboratory or a desire to work in the histology field.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and process pathology specimens while maintaining positive specimen identification.
• Assist histology technicians and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure quality specimen preparation.
• Perform clerical and computer tasks necessary to support quality department operations.
• Perform frozen section staining, coverslip slides, and label them appropriately to aid diagnostic evaluation.
• Communicate to maintain team knowledge and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards to satisfy compliance requirements.
• Participate in professional growth opportunities that enhance personal, team, and department development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
