About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a Pediatric Geneticist (MD/DO) for a Children's Hospital near Norfolk, VA. This is an ongoing opportunity with flexible assignment lengths (3, 6, or longer-term). The role involves a split of outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations, focusing on pediatric metabolic genetics patients. The position offers a collaborative environment within a Physician Owned private pediatric specialty group, and the facility is one of only two freestanding children's hospitals in VA.
Requirements
- MD/DO degree.
- Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics (ABP).
- Board Certified or Eligible in Medical Genetics & Genomics (ABMGG).
- Experience in pediatrics with clinical genetics and genomics.
- Experience treating metabolic patients.
- VA License.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct half-day outpatient clinics for pediatric metabolic genetics patients.
- Provide inpatient consultations for pediatric metabolic genetics patients.
- Manage metabolic emergencies and newborn screenings.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage.
