East Tennessee State University Pediatrics Department seeks a well-qualified clinical geneticist. The academic rank will be determined by the education and experience of the candidate. This position is housed within the Department of Pediatrics; however, the position will work with a rapidly expanding health sciences center consisting of medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health, allied health, and a large VA system. Academic responsibilities include teaching of medical students and pediatric residents as well as academic and scholarly pursuits. Expansion of the clinical genetics program. Opportunities for research. Create new models of care to serve a large rural service area in collaboration with mid-level practitioners, pediatricians, other primary care providers, and specialists. Provide clinical services for genetics patients. Participation in the regional state newborn screening program.
