About The Position
The Front Desk position at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Bloomsburg involves processing guest check-ins and check-outs, managing payments, and providing information about hotel policies, services, and amenities. This role requires responding to guest needs, special requests, and complaints, and escalating potential issues to management. Additionally, the Front Desk associate will assist team members with various tasks such as breakfast preparation, laundry, and housekeeping, and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom areas.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must have sound judgment and discretional skills and be able to work with little or no supervision
- Proficient with standard windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, phones, etc.
- Organization and time management skills are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
Responsibilities
- Process guest check-in/out, including collecting payment
- Provide information about hotel policies, services, and amenities
- Respond to guest needs, special requests, and complaints; alert the appropriate manager to potential issues as needed
- Assist other team members in various assignments, including assisting with breakfast, laundry, or housekeeping duties
- Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed
