About The Position
Direct Mail Solutions (DMS) is a full-service mail and fulfillment company located in Richmond, Virginia. We specialize in warehousing, logistics, direct mail processing, and high-volume distribution. We are currently hiring a skilled Warehouse Turret Truck Operator to join our fast-paced and growing Warehouse Department. As a Warehouse Turret Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, with a focus on high-reach forklift (Turret Truck) tasks in our high-rise storage system. Your role will include storing, retrieving, staging, and transferring palletized goods while maintaining accuracy and organization throughout the warehouse.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience operating a Turret Truck or high-reach forklift.
- Pass an internal forklift training program.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling.
- Must be flexible with work hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Able to perform physically active tasks throughout the shift.
Nice To Haves
- Certification is a plus.
- Forklift certification and OSHA certification.
- Prior experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and general warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Operating a Turret Truck or High Reach Forklift to store and retrieve palletized units in high-rack locations.
- Picking and staging products for outbound shipments.
- Transferring materials within the warehouse as needed.
- Using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to scan and process inventory and orders.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties such as loading/unloading trucks, wrapping pallets, and keeping workspaces clean and organized.
- Working overtime or assisting in other departments to support team success.
