About The Position
This position operates in a refrigerated production environment ranging from 34–38°F, with freezer areas that drop below freezing. Candidates must be comfortable working in cold conditions for extended periods and are required to bring their own appropriate cold weather gear including thermals, layers, and gloves. The primary equipment used is Raymond Deep Reach trucks, and experience with this is critical. The role also involves operating counterbalance and stand-up forklifts, moving product and materials safely and efficiently, and adhering to all GMP, food safety, and warehouse safety protocols. Upon starting, employees will participate in an in-house skills verification and training refresher.
Requirements
- Hands-on forklift experience
- Experience with counterbalance and/or stand-up forklifts
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for the duration of the shift
- Safety-conscious with a strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a 5:00 AM start time
- Ability to work in cold environments (34–38°F and below freezing in freezer areas) for extended periods
- Must provide own cold weather gear — thermals, layers, insulated gloves
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for the duration of the shift
Nice To Haves
- Deep reach truck experience is strongly preferred and highly coveted
- Prior experience in a cold storage, refrigerated warehouse, or food manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Forklift certification card preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Operating Raymond Deep Reach trucks as the primary equipment
- Operating counterbalance and stand-up forklifts as needed
- Moving product and materials throughout the production floor safely and efficiently
- Following all GMP, food safety, and warehouse safety protocols
