The Lantech operator role is responsible for performing all tasks involved in packaging product according to plan. This includes performing basic, routine equipment maintenance and cleaning, keeping machines stocked with raw materials, working with personnel regarding raw material quality, performing visual inspections of finished products, identifying and correcting unacceptable product conditions, working closely with team members to identify and correct quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives, and assisting maintenance personnel with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Ability to operate all tooling and machinery required to perform required job duties
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality of finished material
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems during day-to-day production.
  • Understand escalation process and react accordingly and in a timely fashion
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to dependably work a rotating shift schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience on a fork truck

Responsibilities

  • Performing all tasks involved in packaging product according to plan.
  • Performing basic, routine equipment maintenance and cleaning on everything in the area of responsibility.
  • Keeping machines stocked with raw materials and working with all personnel regarding raw material quality.
  • Performing visual inspections of all finished products being moved and/or loaded onto outbound trucks.
  • Identifying unacceptable product conditions and initiating corrective action.
  • Working closely with all team members, supervisors and leadership to identify, report and correct quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.
  • Assisting maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment.
