This position involves loading and unloading freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner. While DFL Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse, they must maximize space when loading freight. The role requires completing pre and post-trip inspections on all dock equipment, properly documenting all freight control processes, and participating in training and improvement programs. Availability for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts, and/or assignments is necessary. Employees must adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
