About The Position
The Drafter/Engineering Technician I support engineers in the design components, parts assemblies, and to create bills of materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years experience.
- Associates degree or certification is preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel & SolidWorks CAD.
- Demonstrates understanding of industry & document standards.
- Attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions to create parts list and bills of materials.
- Creates engineering drawings, bills of materials and modifies existing drawings.
- Analyzes manufacturing tolerances and fabrication methods to help ensure part/assembly manufacturability.
- Analyzes dimensions, symbols and specifications, and collaborates with engineers to clarify design details.
- Prepares test setups, conduct electrical, environmental, agency tests, record data and test results.
- Maintains records of completed tasks and able to track and present project status.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
