About The Position

RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests. This overseas position is located on Roi-Namur, Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or related field or 2 years of related military electronics training.
  • Two (2) or more years of electronics technician experience including experience with high voltage systems, high power electronics and RF transmission equipment.
  • Must be able to climb and work at heights up to 50 feet.
  • Climber II Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire (local training and testing provided).
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. independently.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional two (2) years of RF equipment experience including experience with analog/RF hardware components such as amplifiers, couplers, and hybrids.
  • A background in high power electronics and RF transmission.
  • Ability to perform maintenance on vacuum tubes and high-power peak pulsed microwave transmitters.
  • Ability to safely set up and conduct measurements of dc or dc pulsed high-voltage circuits.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware.
  • Mechanical fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transmitter operations and maintenance support for a C-Band and Ka-Band radar system.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various pieces of commercial and custom hardware.
  • Provide transmitter operations support including but not limited to daily warm-ups, satellite tracks, SOI tasking and range test operations.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures and run system diagnostic software.
  • Provide support to receiver, transmitter and hardware engineers during design and implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects involving receivers, transmitters, servos, and antenna subsystems.
  • Assemble, wire and bench tests components and subassemblies.
  • Install new equipment and provide technical input about system configuration and performance.
  • Maintain equipment calibration database, test fixtures and assemblies utilizing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components.
  • Climb and work at moderate heights up to 50 feet.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
