Requirements

  • Read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to read and interpret complex circuits schematics.
  • Write technical reports and test procedures.
  • Work with general guidelines and standardized procedures/instructions.
  • Able to operate, troubleshoot, and make technical decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Use standard assembly techniques using soldering iron and standard hand tools.
  • Use complex machines and electronic test equipment (such as oscilloscope, digital volt meter, function generator).
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
  • Identify and learn new technologies related to job duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality and use discretion with business information
  • Associate’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, design technology, or a related field or equivalent experience (required).
  • 5+ years of relevant education or experience in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or a related field (required).
  • Intermediate: Alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet
  • Basic: Microsoft Office suite, Python, National Instruments FlexLogger, LabVIEW.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, design technology, or a related field or equivalent experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist product engineers by preparing and conducting experiments, collecting data, and calculating or recording results.
  • Aid in designing and implementing product testing infrastructure
  • Test, repair, monitor, and maintain equipment, systems, test fixtures, and/or assemblies.
  • Assist with the design of various electronic circuits, assemblies, and software.
  • Assemble and test PCB assemblies incorporating thru hole and surface mount components.
  • Identify and order necessary parts to support product development.
  • Prepare and manage records for regulatory compliance and certification.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot returned materials and electronic components.
  • Assist investigation of electronic components for Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  • Contribute to product development by providing design input and participating in design reviews.
  • Work with internal and external customers to supply specifications, improve products, and monitor Field Trial units.
  • Follow industry and company safety guidelines.
  • Operate and troubleshoot products with a heavy focus on variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
