About The Position

KBR is seeking to hire an Electronics Maintenance Technician III in support of the U.S. Navy /Air Force CYP CCTV Lifecycle Support Service program. A successful candidate must have a solid history of functioning in a team environment, being a self-starter, working independently with limited instruction, and meeting critical demands. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
  • Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
  • Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
  • Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices.
  • Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation.
  • Standard MS Office software product knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Position requires ability to obtain a Genetec Omnicast certification within 90 days of hire.
  • A successful candidate will be subject to a background investigation.
  • 70% travel is required; the candidate must be willing to travel throughout the United States and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference to candidate with IP-based CCTV experience.
  • Special consideration is given to candidates with OEM factory training from Genetec, Axis, and/or Cisco Switches.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.
  • Perform function tests and analysis on various systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components.
  • Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed.
  • Update the web-based maintenance management system and provide tracking of government equipment.
