Moog’s Space and Defense Group is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to test flight-deliverable electronic assemblies for Moog Broad Reach products. The technician follows written procedures to run functional test scripts using Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and performs environmental tests, including vibration, thermal, EMI, and thermal vacuum testing. The role includes supporting hardware debugging, assembling hardware, and operating environmental chambers as needed. Functional scripts are written in Perl and run from the command prompt; they call LabView VIs and commands written in C running on embedded processors. The technician supports engineers with component-level debugging using digital multimeters (DMMs) and oscilloscopes, collaborates with engineers to identify required data, and communicates debug results. Assembly work includes installing completed circuit card assemblies into higher-level chassis assemblies, limited cable or circuit-card rework, and mechanical fabrication and assembly of test-equipment enclosures and front panels. The role requires detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps and hardware actions. The technician updates procedures and test-equipment designs based on test results and supports their release through the Moog Broad Reach document control system. Documentation tools include Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and Intercept Mozaix. The position is onsite in the Phoenix/Gilbert, Arizona area and follows an overnight schedule of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Arizona time, with a 9/80A schedule. The technician also maintains a neat work area by performing 5S tasks and may perform work of a lesser or similar nature under the supervision of a senior technician.
