Moog Inc.•Gilbert, AZ
•$27 - $33•Onsite

About The Position

Moog’s Space and Defense Group is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to test flight-deliverable electronic assemblies for Moog Broad Reach products. The role is onsite in the Phoenix/Gilbert, Arizona area and reports to the Test Supervisor. The stated work schedule is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Arizona time, on a 9/80A schedule. Testing involves running functional scripts with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and conducting environmental tests, including vibration, thermal, EMI, and thermal vacuum testing. The technician follows written test procedures, supports debugging, assembles hardware, and operates environmental chambers as needed. Functional scripts are written in Perl and run from the command prompt; they call LabView VIs and C commands running on embedded processors. The technician uses digital multimeters (DMMs) and oscilloscopes to assist engineers with component-level debugging, coordinates with engineers on required data, and communicates debug results. Assembly work includes installing completed circuit card assemblies into higher-level chassis assemblies, limited cable or circuit-card rework, and mechanical fabrication and assembly of test-equipment enclosures and front panels. The role also requires documenting troubleshooting steps and results, updating procedures and test-equipment designs based on testing, and supporting document release through the Moog Broad Reach document control system. Documentation tools include Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and Intercept Mozaix. The technician maintains an orderly work area using 5S practices and may perform other tasks of a lesser or similar nature under the supervision of a senior technician. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
