Maintenance Manager

About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing maintenance personnel, systems, parts inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules for the Eaton, OH manufacturing facility. This position drives continuous improvement across plant operations and executes long‑term maintenance strategies. The role reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Technical training or strong background in mechanical machinery
  • Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with: PLC controls
  • Experience with: Photocells
  • Experience with: Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • Proficiency with common measurement tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.)
  • Experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to track, document, and report maintenance activity
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Ability to reliably commute to Eaton, OH, or willingness to relocate prior to start date

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead maintenance personnel at the Eaton, OH facility
  • Provide maintenance support to additional Everlast Roofing locations as needed; periodic travel (including unplanned) may be required
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance (PM) programs
  • Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify and resolve issues
  • Monitor maintenance parts and equipment inventory; place orders as necessary
  • Manage relationships with outside contractors and service providers
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report on daily and long‑term maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on production and packaging equipment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders
  • Drive equipment reliability and reduce downtime through root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
