About The Position

QualDerm Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their dynamic and growing team, committed to being the nation’s premier destination for comprehensive skin and aesthetics wellness. Their mission is to support patients throughout their lifetime wellness journeys by delivering unmatched care across dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery. This is a FLOAT Medical Assistant position supporting 15+ QualDerm clinic locations across Illinois and Indiana, requiring consistent travel between clinics and adaptability to new teams and environments. The role involves delivering exceptional patient care and supporting a high-performing clinical team, ideal for someone highly flexible, dependable, and thriving in a fast-paced, multi-site environment where travel is a core part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and dermatology-specific practices
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members
  • High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and documenting medical history
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the EHR system
  • Support both clinical and administrative functions as needed across locations
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
