About The Position

Water's Edge Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is Florida’s largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast, offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology. The Medical Assistant assists providers with patient visits, including consultations and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, dependable, organized, and able to multitask. The role requires compassion and care when interacting with patients and coworkers, the ability to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to travel between locations.

Requirements

Demonstrate compassion and care when dealing with patients and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license, or LPN qualification preferred.
Hands-on experience in a clinical setting; the employer will train the right candidate.
Dermatology or surgical experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist providers in delivering quality care to patients.
Greet and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
Provide side-by-side assistance during surgical procedures.
Sterilize instruments and maintain clean, organized examination rooms.
Review medical histories and maintain accurate, confidential patient records and documentation, including notes in the EMR system.
Obtain appropriate consents when necessary.
Call in prescriptions, perform patient callbacks, and handle administrative duties when necessary.
