About The Position
The Dean of Education is responsible for the administrative functions of Roxborough Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing and serves as the primary leader for its faculty, support staff, and students. The role ensures that curriculum development aligns with current evidence-based practice and standards of care, and oversees strategic initiatives and long-term planning to support successful outcomes and sustainable operations. The Dean also represents the school professionally at the local, state, and national levels. Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities. Its School of Nursing has educated nurses since 1898.
Requirements
- Current, valid Registered Nurse license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Master’s degree in nursing education or nursing administration.
- Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain certification.
- Five years of experience in academia, administration, curriculum development, and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, peers, hospital personnel, and affiliate agencies.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, student information systems, and learning management systems.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate degree.
- Nurse Educator Certification.
