About The Position

Rocky Vista University is seeking an Assistant Dean of Clinical Education for Clinical Career Advisement, a principal administrator and leader of the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) career advising program for OMS III–IV students. The role develops, manages, evaluates, and continuously improves career and residency advising; oversees residency application and Match-related processes; and provides strategic leadership on specialty selection, application readiness, interviewing, rank-list preparation, SOAP, and final placement. The primary performance metric is the COM graduate medical education (GME) Match and placement rate. The Assistant Dean uses verified outcomes to identify improvement opportunities and works with Pre-Clinical Education, Student Affairs, academic and progression leadership, the Registrar, Institutional Research, and other partners. Match and placement are shared institutional outcomes influenced by student performance and choices, clinical opportunities, academic progression, advising, and residency-program decisions. The Assistant Dean may directly supervise Clinical Career Advising Directors, Career Advising Clerkship Directors, physician and non-physician career advisors, and other designated career advising personnel. The role also manages assigned resources, personnel, policies, and committees, and develops and maintains student-facing clinical career advising platforms and applicable curricula. Other duties may be assigned by the Senior Associate Dean or designee. The position is based in Englewood, Colorado. In-office work is the primary focus, with hybrid flexibility for eligible positions. Salary is $200,000–$230,000 per year, depending on experience (DOE), and the role is full-time. Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and salary requirements. The final applicant must pass a background check and drug screening; an additional video interview may be required.
