About The Position

Fortress Care is seeking reliable, compassionate Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their Bismarck team. This role involves providing one-on-one care to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities, personal care, and offering meaningful companionship. Fortress Care is a Qualified Service Provider in North Dakota (QSPND) that supports seniors and individuals with developmental or physical disabilities in the Bismarck community, aiming to help them maintain independence, comfort, and dignity in their own homes.

Requirements

  • Reliable and compassionate.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Direct Support Professional (DSP) qualifications are desired.
  • Ability to assist with personal care, daily living activities, and companionship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a CNA, HHA, or DSP.
  • Experience supporting seniors or individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility/transfers.
  • Prepare nutritious meals, perform light housekeeping, and assist with medication reminders.
  • Help clients achieve personal goals, engage in community activities, and build independence.
  • Provide empathetic, respectful interaction, emotional support, and active listening.
  • Track client progress and report changes in physical or mental condition to the care coordinator.
