About The Position

Requirements

• Must be actively working in the Deer Creek CMM department (Department 008).
• Must currently work as a CMM Operator and be a qualified CMM Operator.
• Must have fewer than four unexcused absences.
• Must not have been on written step 2 or higher within the last 12 months.
• Must have been in the current role for at least one year.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Good organization and people skills.

• Previous experience as a group, team, or area leader.
• Understanding of Deer Creek system requirements.
• Ability to coordinate and plan long- and short-term production goals.
• Demonstrated history of accurate documentation.
• Demonstrated history of professional conduct with customers, including outside vendors and PCC employees.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the first priority for all employees.
• Participate in 6S and continuous improvement activities and events, and maintain daily checklist signoffs.
• Prioritize work and shift setup according to production requirements.
• Facilitate department scheduling.
• Train employees and ensure work instructions are followed.
• Ensure employees have the tools necessary to complete required tasks.
• Maintain the department’s supplies inventory.
• Promote a harassment-free environment for employees, contractors, and staff.
• Work with limited direct supervision and perform effectively under pressure.
• Adjust shifts when necessary for business purposes.
• Promote process control and determine corrective action when needed.
• Serve as the maintenance point of contact for onsite vendors.
• Track and help reduce equipment downtime.
• Assist with tracking and maintaining maintenance tools.
• Coordinate and communicate adjustments to the preventative maintenance program.
• Handle first-line performance issues and notify supervision when further action is needed.
• Notify appropriate parties when production equipment downtime is likely to affect throughput.
