About The Position

The Spatial Metrology Engineer will join the Metrology team, which measures and aligns precision optics and optical assemblies. The role provides hands-on experience with unique and challenging optical systems and exposure to spatial metrology tools, including large and medium bridge-type CMMs, laser trackers, portable arms, and emerging technologies. The engineer will work with technicians and engineers and may support or lead measurement work depending on experience. The position involves measuring components, aligning system integration of subassemblies, supporting production processes, and improving data interpretation for internal customers. The engineer will collaborate with opticians, technologists, and engineers to continuously improve processes and identify opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, throughput, and first-pass yield. The role also requires safe handling of hardware and compliance with standard work and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. The proposed salary range is $61,100–$122,200. The role is regular, full-time, and may require up to 10% travel within the continental United States.
