About The Position
Come work for the world’s leading private employer of Registered Dietitians! Sodexo is seeking a Part Time Clinical Dietitian to work 24 hours/week at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, a 700-bed level III trauma center located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This position will cover the general medicine units. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced Dietitian! Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days! Flexible Work Shifts Available! Opportunity for Some Remote Hours! Free Meals! Free Parking! Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal Money toward continuing education events Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually Salary will be pro-rated, based on number of hours worked
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials
- Licensure in North Carolina
- Strong leadership skills, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for comprehensive nutrition assessments/reassessments and counseling of general and complex patients and their families per the Nutrition Care Process model.
- Actively participate in daily multidisciplinary rounding with care team members.
- Provide education to patients, as well as staff, and work well with interdisciplinary team.
- Be involved in quality improvement and research projects as opportunities arise.
- Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns, as needed.
- Provide coverage for other inpatient dietitians on weekends, holidays, and as assigned.
