About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Certified Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registry.
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) from the Texas Department of Licensing.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Pediatric nutrition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient nutritional care plans.
• Provide age-appropriate education to support the nutritional plan of care, and assess the learning needs and readiness to learn of patients and families.
• Collaborate with other professionals to integrate and communicate nutrition principles that enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in research and interpret its applications to enhance clinical practices.
• Document nutrition care effectively in medical records and use SBAR techniques to facilitate handoffs to different levels of care or care providers.
• Contribute to departmental development and visibility by participating in the review and revision of nutrition-related resources, policies, and procedures.
