Construction Surveyor

About The Position
Clark Builders is hiring a Surveyor for work at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. This role will be responsible for using electronic surveying equipment to survey land and establish boundaries, layouts and elevations.
Requirements
- A strong aptitude for mathematics and computers
- The ability to visualize objects, distances, sizes, and other abstract forms
- The ability to work outdoors with precise electronic surveying instruments
- Analytical and organizational skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.
- Valid CSTS 2020, ESC Fall Protection, First Aid Certificate an asset.
Responsibilities
- Shoot coordinates / lines for site works
- Utilize GPS and Topcon equipment for surveying activities
- Comprehend blueprint readings to prepare layouts and do as-builts of the following, but not limited to excavation limits for shallow foundations, concrete pour heights, concrete/foundation corners, concrete embeds and anchors, and underground piping locations
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Other duties as required.
- Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
