About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Three to five years of prior experience or training in aircraft component repair and overhaul.
• English-language proficiency.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (Green Card holder) status is required.
• Ability to sit, stand, squat or kneel, walk, speak, hear, see, and perform manual tasks, and ability to work in somewhat confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

• Training in Airframe and Power Plant with emphasis on structures and composites.
• Prior avionics experience.
• Hydraulic experience.
• Familiarity with turboprop aircraft.
• Parts-painting experience.
• Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license; described as preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally; travel is listed as less than 5% potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA-approved data and required workmanship standards.
• Keep flight safety in mind throughout production of an airworthy product.
• Keep assigned work areas clean and free of hazards to personnel, components, and aircraft.
• Follow safety precautions, including use of hearing and eye protection, safe handling of chemicals, awareness of engine and propeller hazards, and fall protection.
• Accurately and legibly complete company forms and aircraft maintenance documents in accordance with company, customer, and FAA requirements.
• Use the correct tools for each application and ensure tooling is serviceable and calibrated when necessary.
• Locate, understand, and apply appropriate technical data while performing maintenance.
• Perform aircraft-parts painting tasks, including preparation, paint application, and paint safety.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Component Shop Lead Mechanic.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations and observe safety procedures and personnel policies.
• Participate in on-the-job training as required.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
