About The Position

VITA AEREA PREMIUM AVIATION SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Supervisor Mechanic to lead an aviation maintenance crew in Mesa, Arizona. The role involves supervising mechanics and performing and overseeing aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs while ensuring work meets safety requirements, FAA standards, company policies, and manufacturer maintenance manuals. The mechanic diagnoses issues across mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems, maintains accurate maintenance records, coordinates workflow to reduce aircraft downtime, and mentors junior mechanics. The position may require flexible hours, weekends, or on-call availability.

Requirements

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAR Part 43 and Part 145.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call as needed.
Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of aviation mechanics, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to FAA standards.
Perform and oversee scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues across a variety of aircraft.
Ensure maintenance documentation, logbooks, and work orders are completed accurately and compliantly.
Coordinate with operations and management to prioritize workflow and minimize aircraft downtime.
Mentor and develop junior mechanics, fostering a culture of safety and technical excellence.
Enforce adherence to company policies, FAA regulations, and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
