About The Position

Requirements

• BSN required (will consider candidates in the process of completing a BSN)
• Current CT RN license is required
• Charge nurse or supervisory experience required
• 3-5 years Emergency Department RN experience required
• Demonstrated appropriate clinical knowledge to evaluate and prioritize patient flow issues
• Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to set priorities
• Supervisory skills to manage a work team is a must

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall movement of patients through the unit in a safe and efficient manner.
• Review the assignment of patient care activities, assuring that staff is qualified to care for assigned patients.
• Support team members and ensure quality and service excellence to patients.
• Facilitate solutions for challenging patient care situations.
• Appropriately assign the workload.
• Collaborate with manager to monitor and maintain staff performance.
