About The Position

Position Summary: Assist the buyer and assistant buyer with data entry, purchasing, paperwork, ad information, and other clerical responsibilities. Responsibilities Perform duties that support the production of weekly sales plans and period display plans. Create and maintain numerous period and quarterly reports. Maintain ad, display and Sales Plans in ESP for Divisions; maintains ASA and pricing downloads for department store. Completes ad change forms. Completes RDIC forms for price corrections/updates. Processes and maintains stock management report as necessary. Maintains online information, i.e., vendor, product, ad, etc. information. Processes purchase orders; maintains purchase order records; updates weekly outstanding purchase order reports. Processes buyer reports. Answers telephones for buyers. Faxes documents for buyers, as required. Process new item paperwork for accuracy; coordinates with item set up team. Inputs contracts and form 11's for vendor allowances. Completes other projects, as assigned. Obtains & returns to stores/vendors samples for weekly ad meetings. Processes vendor returns. Perform duties including correspondence to Divisions and suppliers. Coordinate production of classifieds and price books. Frequent telephone contact with other G.O. departments, Divisions, suppliers, etc. Research and resolve bi-way requests. Tracks order for one-time-buys and fashion imports, as needed. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Retail store experience in applicable department
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three-five years experience in general office work or retail including customer contact; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • 40 WPM typing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
