Requirements

• Valid BC teaching certificate.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Art at the middle and/or senior school level.
• Passionate and practicing artist-educator.

• Experience working across a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.
• Strong grounding in inquiry-based and project-based learning.

• Experience teaching MYP or DP Art is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art at the middle and/or senior school level.
• Support the delivery of International Baccalaureate (IB) units that incorporate the BC curriculum.
• Design engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences that encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and artistic growth.
• Foster an inclusive, student-centred classroom where diverse perspectives and artistic voices are valued.
• Bring energy, imagination, and contemporary approaches to art education.
• Showcase and celebrate student learning through exhibitions, displays, and community engagement opportunities.
• Actively contribute to co-curricular programs.
• Participate fully in the culture of the independent school community.
