About The Position
United Charter High Schools (UCHS) is seeking art teachers who believe deeply in students and in their own continued growth. We are looking for educators who are reflective, intellectually curious, and committed to building classrooms where rigor and relationships go hand in hand. Our Art teachers design meaningful learning experiences, hold high expectations, and continuously refine their practice to ensure every student succeeds. UCHS is a high-performing network of seven public charter high schools serving approximately 2,000 students across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Our schools consistently exceed state graduation benchmarks and outperform New York State averages on Regents exams while serving students from historically underserved communities. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- NYS teaching certification (or working toward certification)
- Commitment to equitable outcomes for all students
- Belief that rigorous academics and strong relationships are inseparable
