As a Security Guard Armed Enhanced Part Time Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points, observe for unusual conditions such as theft-related activity, trespassing, and/or policy violations, and report concerns according to post orders.
- Support opening and closing activities, assist with crowd and queue management during busy periods, and provide visible security-related presence throughout the location.
