About The Position

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Above average computer / technology skills needed
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift
• Must have a professional demeanor
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• At a minimum, must be able to speak to gun safety and responsibilities as well as successfully complete assessments and shooting qualification
• Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
• Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular)
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
• Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers
• Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in security, law enforcement or military
• 2 years experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement preferred
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Actively monitoring the premises
• Patrolling a variety of locations
• Preserving order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area
• Providing customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers
• Serving as a physical deterrent
• Conducting patrols throughout shift
• Conducting access control duties
