About The Position
HMT is the global leader in aboveground storage tank solutions. Knowing that every customer’s need is different, we use our decades of experience to customize solutions that help tank operations become more efficient, more productive and more profitable. HMT has a need for an API 510/570 certified Inspector to assist with performing inspections in accordance with current API standards and recommendations.
Requirements
- Must have current API 510/936 Certification
- Minimum 3-year 510/936 work experience
- Must be technically competent and knowledgeable in damage mechanisms
- Must have current TWIC Card
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be competent and thorough in report writing and recommendations
- Must have good computer skills
- Must be familiar current API codes
- Must be knowledgeable in NDE processes required for inspections and repair
- Must be able to pass DISA background and Drug Screen (hair follicle)
- Must be able to pass a FIT test and perform inspections under supplied air

Responsibilities
- Perform API 510/570 internal/external inspections per customer’s scope of work
- Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility and customer
- Properly interpret ITP’s, equipment drawings, client specifications, codes and industry standards
- Ensure that all site and HMT safety policies and procedures are being followed
