About The Position

USAA is seeking a Business Rules Analyst Senior to join their team. This role involves identifying and managing risks, leading project teams, and providing subject matter expertise to develop solutions for business requirements. The analyst will work with various stakeholders to define requirements, coordinate system enhancements, and analyze options to resolve system issues. They will also summarize insights from analysis to develop business rules and provide guidance to staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Studies, Computer Science or related field followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation OR Master’s degree in Information Management, Information Studies, Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Follow written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Lead teams on project management, system change management, business rules and analysis and development, product development, product maintenance, service delivery and changes to existing systems/applications.
  • Ensure change control processes and procedures encompass and/or adhere to enterprise or industry guidelines or best practices.
  • Review post implementation documentation for lessons learned and recommend procedural or process updates for future initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in development of creative solutions for business requirements or product offerings; advice on strategic and tactical solutions.
  • Work with LOBs, vendors, and other internal resources to define business requirements and coordinate system enhancements to achieve LOB, CoSA or enterprise objectives.
  • Analyze options to determine the best course of action to resolve or prevent future system outages or production issues.
  • Present recommendation and execute required actions.
  • Provide guidance to staff and assists management with workflow/workload schedule.
  • Summarize insights from analysis and use findings to develop business rules.
