About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is hiring a part-time Warehouse Assistant. The role supports catering operations by organizing and staging event supplies, loading vehicles, checking returning equipment, and keeping the warehouse orderly. It also involves communicating with service and sales teams, handling miscellaneous errands and supply runs, and occasionally delivering simple catering orders with minor event setup. The position offers flexible scheduling and the potential to transition to full-time. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Available to work weekends.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse or similar experience.
• Previous catering, event, or hospitality background.
• Knowledge of catering terminology.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events.
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring the correct items are loaded and properly secured.
• Communicate with the service and sales departments about supply issues and coordinate substitutions.
• Confirm that items returned from events are clean and in good working order, then return them to the warehouse.
• Maintain warehouse order and cleanliness, ensuring equipment is protected and stored properly.
• Handle miscellaneous needs, such as picking up linens from dry cleaners, fueling trucks, collecting last-minute grocery supplies, and making emergency supply runs to events.
• Occasionally deliver simple catering orders and perform minor event setup.
