About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support catering operations in the greater Richmond and Hampton Roads regions. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and may have the potential to transition to full-time employment. Weekend availability is required.

The Warehouse Assistant organizes and stages supplies and equipment for catering events, helps ensure vehicles are loaded accurately and safely, and coordinates with service and sales teams about supply issues and substitutions. The role also involves receiving and checking returned equipment, keeping the warehouse clean and orderly, and handling varied support tasks such as collecting linens, fueling trucks, purchasing last-minute supplies, and making emergency event supply runs. Occasionally, the assistant delivers simple catering orders and may perform minor event setup.

Requirements

• Available to work weekends.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Knowledge of catering terminology.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events.
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring the correct items are loaded and properly secured.
• Communicate with the service and sales departments about supply issues and coordinate substitutions.
• Confirm that items returned from events are clean and in good working order, then return them to the warehouse.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse and ensure equipment is protected and stored properly.
• Handle miscellaneous operational needs, such as picking up linens at the dry cleaners, fueling trucks, purchasing last-minute supplies, and making emergency supply runs to events.
• Occasionally deliver simple catering orders and perform minor event setup when needed.
