About The Position

Chartwells provides catering and hospitality services in education, with a focus on engaging and nutritious dining solutions that support academic achievement. The Catering Assistant will serve students and staff by delivering meals and drinks, providing friendly customer service, operating the till, and working with the team to ensure smooth operations. The role also involves food preparation and cleaning as needed, while maintaining hygiene and following proper food-handling practices.

The position is at a prestigious private school and early learning centre. Hours are mostly daytime, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $27.09 plus 12% superannuation.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is desired.
• Basic food-handling experience is desired.
• A current Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to excel in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small-team setting.
• Friendly, customer-oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to handle diverse tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience with coffee making is advantageous.
