About the position
This executive role at Axios HQ is focused on shaping the go-to-market strategy and evolving the marketing capabilities of the organization. The goal is to drive continued growth from $10 to $100M in ARR. The role involves overseeing the marketing team, developing strategies to scale the inbound funnel, optimizing paid channels, building organic traffic sources, improving lead nurturing strategies, expanding product marketing, and establishing Axios HQ as a leading brand authority. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, experience in building and managing high-performing marketing teams, and a track record of scaling B2B customer acquisition machines.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategy to scale the inbound funnel
- Drive optimization through paid channels
- Build the site into a scalable long-term organic traffic source
- Optimize lead nurturing strategy
- Develop an operation to support the Account Management team
- Expand the product marketing practice
- Grow Axios HQ into a leading brand authority on communications
- Partner with the Sales team to drive MQLs and SQLs
- Understand the key drivers of the go-to-market strategy
- Lead and mentor the marketing team
- Communicate the performance of marketing to executive stakeholders
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team
- Build and scale high-performing B2B customer acquisition machines
- Optimize the funnel through data-driven decisions
- Execute high-level strategy when necessary
- Proficiency with marketing automation, sales CRMs, and SEO
- Grow Axios HQ into a leading brand authority on communications
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills, with experience building and managing a high performing marketing team in a fast-paced environment.
- Brings a wealth of marketing and growth experience with a track record of building and scaling high-performing B2B customer acquisition machines from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of funnel optimization, with the ability to run analytically-rigorous experiments and make objective data-driven decisions.
- Ability to translate high-level strategy with hands-on execution when necessary.
- Proficiency with marketing automation, sales CRMs (Hubspot preferred) and SEO.
