Responsibilities
- Support the creation and evolution of Axios HQ's flagship product
- Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code using best practices
- Collaborate with Axios HQ platform, product, and design teams to ship and iterate on high-quality products
- Mentor and coach team members through pair-programming and code review
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advise the team on best practices
- Implement secure systems
- Optimize application code for performance and scale optimizations
- Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage
- Maintain highly available systems
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Experience working with technologies like Python, Django, Node.js, React, Typescript
- Experience with FastAPI, Express, PostgreSQL
- Experience with scaling an API platform
- Experience integrating with AI services (Open AI)
- Large capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver on pre-determined sprint objectives
