About The Position

Zions Bank is hiring a Traveling Teller for its Retail Support department. Retail Support employees travel to branches within their geographical area to provide teller and banking coverage, including when branch employees are absent. The role supports branch operations and strategic objectives while offering exposure to banking fundamentals and opportunities to build professional connections. The Traveling Teller processes debit and credit transactions accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintains an acceptable balancing record, and assists clients with banking needs. The position primarily supports branches in the Salt Lake Valley and Summit County, with occasional assignments as far north as Centerville/Bountiful, south as Draper/Riverton, and west as Tooele and Magna. Mileage reimbursement is provided when travel exceeds 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home. Minimum pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on client needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address client needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, making money transfers, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems directly or refer clients to appropriate branch or bank resources.
Identify and maximize cross-sell opportunities by exploring client needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel to and support branches in the assigned geographical area.
